Word to Page

IMG_4132.JPGFrom word to page is a lovely thing

and I seek its solace in a day and an hour

of turning heart into thought and word into phrase.

It’s never stopped following me like a lonely child.

Waking me mid night-

a candle burning inside

gently but urgent.

Thoughts large

and words too small

just yet for page.

Half cast shadows where

images quickly form.

Must capture before sun singes,

letters freeze and words rust.

  1. I tried to find out more about you in your ‘about me’ page but you’ve got no details there.

Would you please give me your email address so we can discuss more about writing a tanka or another form of poetry together 🙂

    It’s Amina from Commenting bootcamp.

Look forward to getting a reply x
